Ultra-Safe Patented Blade Battery Technology
While undergoing nail penetration tests, the Blade Battery emitted neither smoke nor fire after being penetrated, and its temperature only reached 30 to 60°C. The Blade Battery cells also passed other extreme test conditions, such as being crushed, bent, being heated in a furnace to 300°C and overcharged by 260%. None of these resulted in a fire or explosion.
CTB (cell-to-body) Technology
The battery upper cover and the body floor are combined into one, forming a "sandwich" structure of the entire vehicle. The power battery system is both an energy body and a mechanical structural component, which improves battery space utilization and also brings higher battery life. The closer integration of the blade battery and the body allows BYD SEAL to achieve an excellent torsional stiffness of 40,500N.m/°.
iTAC (intelligence Torque Adaption Control) System
Based on the fast response of the electric motor, sensors are used to quickly identify changes in vehicle status, effectively reducing wheel slip and understeer, and instantly adjusting the torque output by the vehicle's drive motor to maintain a good driving posture.
