Enhanced safety
The raw material, lithium iron phosphate has a number of beneficial characteristics: slow heat generation, low heat release and non oxygen release. The unique flat rectangle shape also improves cooling efficiency and preheating performance. Blade Battery has safely passed the nail penetration test without emitting fire or smoke. -
Nail penetration test
The nail penetration test is regarded as one of the most rigorous ways to test the thermal runaway of batteries. The purpose is to simulate an internal short circuit of the battery. This is usually caused by external sharp metal objects penetrating the battery in a severe traffic accident. The Blade Battery passed the nail penetration test, without emitting smoke or fire. The surface temperature only reached 30 to 60°C.

Optimised strength
Arranged in an array in one pack, each cell serves as a structural beam to help withstand the force. The aluminum honeycomb-like structure, with high-strength panels on upper and lower side of the pack, greatly enhances the rigidity in vertical direction. It is this revolutionary design that gives optimised strength to the Blade Battery. -

The space utilisation of the Blade Battery has been increased by over 50% compared with the traditional battery packs, which provides enhanced energy density and delivers longer range.

Chinese Knot Rear Lights
- Wolfgang Josef Egger, the Global Design Director of BYD, is the creative mind and hands behind the Genesis model of the Han EV. The front face is evolved along the basis of the Dragon Face family design language, adding a piano black sports kit. The through-type taillights with the Chinese knot element are used for the first time on a BYD's mass-produced model.

- The interior is envisioned by Michele Jauch-Paganetti, the Global Interior Design Director at BYD (former design manager at Mercedes-Benz Advanced Design Center), for supreme luxury.

Nappa Leather Seats and Natural Wood/Carbon Fiber Interior
- The interior is exquisitely crafted for the ultimate refinement. Made from Nappa calfskin, the seats can be paired with natural wood or carbon fiber interior trimming, featuring aluminum with advanced drawing and screen printing processes.
The Genesis model of the Han EV is equipped with Dynaudio audio system which is a must for audiophiles. Engineered and tuned in Denmark, it is as good as Dynaudio's consumer-grade RMB 250,000 audio system.
The handles are perfectly concealed without a bump out of line. Popping out to open the door, they provide novel means for the entry.
With individual zones, the ambient lighting simultaneously changes color with movement, for an immersive and luxurious experience.
