Is the 8-year battery warranty based on time or mileage?

The battery is covered for 8 years or 125,000 miles depending on whichever comes first. If you reach 125,000 miles, your warranty will run out, even if your car is not 8 years old.

What does a basic warranty cover?

For new vehicles, a basic warranty typically covers the cost of repairs and replacements for both mechanical and electric components, including engine, transmission, cooling system, suspension and steering.

What happens if there’s a problem with the electric motor or battery after the basic 6-year warranty ends?

Your battery and motor are still covered with an 8-year warranty, even when your basic 6-year warranty runs out, so you don’t have to worry.

Does the warranty transfer to a new owner if I sell the vehicle?

In most cases, the warranty will transfer over to a new owner if you sell the car. This can also improve the vehicle’s resale value.
