The main component in our hybrid and EV cars, the Blade Battery is recognised as one of the world’s safest EV batteries, passing rigorous nail-penetration testing for maximised strength, range and an enhanced lifecycle. 

Beyond production 

BYD is investing further in battery recycling and giving used batteries a second life with a range of projects. For example, BYD bus and taxi batteries are transformed into container-sized power units to be used in industrial settings. This ensures that our mission extends throughout the vehicle's lifespan.
