CHILE, NOVEMBER 2024. At the third edition of Experiencia E—also known as the International Sustainable Mobility Show—held at Espacio Riesco, BYD consolidates its position in the electromobility industry with major launches. This time, with an exclusive stand, the brand will exhibit four of its models and offer attendees the opportunity to experience firsthand the driving of a 100% electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle on a test circuit specially designed for the event.
“At Experiencia E, our electric and plug-in hybrid models will be available for the public to explore BYD’s technology and autonomy. In addition, we will launch the SONG PRO and unveil the SHARK pickup in Chile,” said Cristián Garcés, General Manager of BYD Auto Chile.
BYD SONG PRO: Another Super Hybrid
BYD's innovative approach for this model is based on its Dual Mode Intelligence (DM-i) technology, a latest-generation hybrid system that optimizes the vehicle's efficiency and range.
BYD SONG PRO impresses with its performance: it has a range of 1,011 kilometers (WLTC cycle) and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.9 seconds. Its interior design is characterized by a comfortable and functional cabin, and it features a complete system of advanced driving assistance (DiPilot), multiple safety functions, and airbags for the driver, front passenger, and front-side and curtain airbags.
It is available in three colors: white, gray, and blue. It includes full connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, smart access through NFC (near-field communication) technology, and the BYD App, allowing users a fully integrated driving experience.
Exclusive Unveiling in Chile: BYD SHARK, the Pickup Set to Revolutionize the Market
Another highlight for BYD at Experiencia E will be the exclusive unveiling of the BYD SHARK in Chile. Launched globally in Mexico in May of this year, the BYD SHARK will make its first appearance in the country. “We want to surprise all attendees before its official launch, which will be in the first quarter of 2025. And what better way to do it than at this time, when the entire industry is coming together,” said Garcés.
BYD SHARK, a plug-in hybrid pickup, offers a combined range of 840 kilometers (NEDC cycle) and can reach 100 kilometers in fully electric mode. It stands out for its impressive acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.7 seconds.
BYD SHARK features the revolutionary DMO-Plug-in Super Hybrid Off-Road Platform, designed to tackle demanding terrain and deliver exceptional performance. Its cabin is equipped with advanced technology, emphasizing safety and comprehensive advanced driving assistance systems, along with the functionality of the BYD App, which allows users to manage various vehicle features from their cell phone.
