Kingston, Jamaica - On June 26, BYD and ATL Automotive officially announced their cooperation in Kingston, Jamaica, jointly promoting the development of transport electrification across the Caribbean region.

ATL Automotive was founded in 1997, and with a dedicated workforce of up to 600 employees, it has been the largest investor in the automotive landscape in Jamaica since 2010. As an experienced car distributor, ATL has been appointed as BYD’s regional distributor, taking charge of sales and aftersales operations in Jamaica. Moreover, ATL will assume a regional management role across nine additional countries, including Trinidad and Tobago, Cayman, Curaçao, Barbados, Aruba, Antigua, Saint Lucia, Guyana, and Suriname.

Looking ahead, the collaborative plan between BYD and ATL involves the establishment of BYD showrooms. The initial phase will witness the opening of two showrooms in Jamaica, specifically in Kingston and Montego Bay. Notably, the Kingston showroom, serving as an “Experience Centre”, will showcase the upcoming BYD models and technologies.
