Asunción, Paraguay - Recently, BYD, the world’s leading manufacturer of new energy vehicles, and its Paraguayan distributor DIESA Group officially introduced the BYD SONG PLUS to the local market at the CADAM Motor Show 2023, the largest and most influential auto show in Paraguay. It is the first time that BYD NEVs equipped with the DM-i hybrid technology have entered the Paraguayan market.

The DM-i hybrid system uses BYD’s plug-in hybrid technologies based mostly on electricity that delivers high speeds, while bringing a quiet, smooth ride that saves energy. The PHEV powertrain consists of an engine producing 81kW with an 132kW electric motor, which can satiate users’ need for acceleration. The system brings fuel consumption of SONG PLUS down to 4.4L/100km, and the combined fuel and electric cruising range exceed 1,150 km. Featuring a spacious and comfortable interior design, the BYD SONG PLUS offers an intelligent cockpit and Vehicle-to-Load(VTOL) technology, enhancing the overall experience for longer journeys.
