BYD Digital Key

Add the BYD Digital Key to compatible iOS or Android devices, which include iPhone, Apple Watch, Samsung Galaxy or Google Pixel™.
Simply hold your iPhone, Samsung Galaxy or Google Pixel™ smartphone near the rearview mirror to unlock and start the vehicle.
*Please check the list of supported devices in the BYD APP or "Vehicle Settings/Digital Key" on the car display.

Why should I use a digital key? 

There are a variety of reasons you may choose to use a digital key, with one of the main benefits being convenience. 
Gone are the days of fumbling with traditional keys, a digital key means you can open your car with just a tap! 
Smart entry system allows convenient and secure access and the ability to start a vehicle effortlessly - all you need is a smartphone to get started!  

Detailed steps to add a digital key to your mobile phone

Setting up the BYD Digital Key on Your iPhone

 

If you’re an iPhone user, you can take advantage of digital car keys with a quick and easy set-up. Follow the instructions below to explore the benefits of your digital car key:

1. Within the BYD App, select the "Digital Key"

2. Select "Accept BYD APP Digital Key User Service Agreement”  at the bottom of the screen.

3. Tap the "Add now" button. 

 

Adding Digital Key to Apple Wallet 

 

For quick and easy access to your BYD digital keys, add them to your Apple wallet:

1. After completing the above steps, select "Continue" within the Apple Wallet screen.

2. Please place your iPhone in your vehicle’s phone tray to finish activating the mobile car key.

3. After activating the main smart car key, you may remove the iPhone from the vehicle’s phone tray.

 

 

Setting Up the BYD Digital Key on Your Samsung Galaxy

 

If you’re a Samsung Galaxy user, you can access your BYD digital car keys easily for safety and security. For remote car access, follow the instructions below:

1. Within the My BYD App, select the "Digital Key" tile.

2. Select "Accept BYD APP Digital Key User Service Agreement”at the bottom of the screen.

3. Tap the "Add now" button. 

 

Adding Digital Key to Samsung Wallet

For easy access to your BYD Digital Key, take the steps below to add it to your Samsung Wallet:

1. After completing the above steps, select "Start" within the Samsung Wallet screen, and wait for adding. Please place your Samsung Galaxy Smartphone on your vehicle’s phone tray to finish activating the Digital Key.

2. After activating the main BYD digital key, you may remove the Samsung Galaxy Smartphone from the vehicle's phone tray. 

 

Setting Up the BYD Digital Key on Your Google Pixel™

 

Setting your digital car keys up on your Google Pixel™ is simple. To benefit from the ease of remote car access, follow the instructions below:

1. Within the BYD App, select the "Digital Key"

2. Select "Accept BYD APP Digital Key User Service Agreement” on the bottom of the screen.

3. Tap the "Add now" button.

 

Adding Digital Key to Google Wallet

 

For easy access to your digital car keys, adding them to your Google wallet means enhanced convenience - simply follow the instructions below:

1. After completing the above steps, wait for your phone to get ready. Please place your Pixel phone on your vehicle’s phone tray to finish activating the Digital Key.

2. After activating the main smart car key, you may remove the Pixel phone from the vehicle’s phone tray. 

 

Encountering issues? 

Kindly try the following steps to address the issue.

iOS Users:

1.Please confirm your phone is a BYD DIGITAL KEY supported device.

2.Please confirm the iOS system is updated.

3.Please confirm a screen lock passcode or FaceID is set.

4.Please confirm you are logged into your Apple ID.

5.Please confirm the Wallet app is functioning normally.

6.Please confirm the phone network is normal.

Android Users:

1.Please confirm your phone is a BYD DIGITAL KEY supported device.

2.Please confirm the following are updated: One UI Version, Android Version, Google Play system update.

3.Please confirm a screen lock passcode or pattern lock is set.

4.Please confirm you are logged into the relevant accounts (One UI / Android).

5.Please confirm the Wallet app is downloaded, updated, and logged in.

6.Please confirm the phone network is normal.
