BYD UK Prize Giveaway Competition – Terms and Conditions

1.       Promoter
This competition is promoted by BYD UK ("the Promoter"). The competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram or Facebook.

2.       Eligibility
a. This competition is open to UK residents aged 18 and over.
b. Employees of the Promoter, their immediate families, or anyone else professionally connected with the competition are excluded.
c. Entrants must follow the official BYD UK Instagram account (@BYD.UK) or the official BYD UK Facebook page (@BYDUnited.Kingdom) to be eligible.
d. Each participant is allowed one entry per platform (Instagram and Facebook) per quiz question; however, they may participate in multiple quizzes throughout the competition period.

3.       How to Enter

a. The competition will run on Instagram and Facebook from 10:00 AM on 1st December 2024 to 11:00 PM on 20th December 2024.

b. To enter, participants must:

i. Answer the quiz question correctly on the relevant Instagram Story or Facebook post within the 23-hour entry window.

ii. Only entries with the correct answer will qualify for the prize draw.

c. The competition will feature a total of 12 prizes across the competition period. There will be 4 questions and prizes each week:

·       Week 1: 1st December, 3rd December, 5th December, 7th December

·       Week 2: 8th December, 10th December, 12th December, 14th December

·       Week 3: 15th December, 17th December, 19th December, 20th December
d. Each quiz will remain open for 23 hours from the time of posting, after which a 24-hour grace period will be observed before the next quiz goes live.

4.       Winner Selection
a. One winner will be selected per quiz from all eligible entries received on both Instagram and Facebook.
b. Winners will be randomly selected within 24 hours of the quiz closing (on even-numbered days, e.g., 2nd, 4th, 6th December, etc.).
c. Winners will be notified via direct message on the platform through which they entered (Instagram or Facebook).

5.       Prizes
a. Each quiz will have one prize, as specified in the quiz post.
b. Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for cash.
c. Winners must collect their prize from their local BYD Retailer.
d. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with another of equal or greater value if circumstances beyond the Promoter's control make it necessary to do so.

6.       General Conditions
a. The Promoter's decision on all matters relating to the competition, including the selection of winners, is final and binding.
b. Any entries that are incomplete, illegible, fraudulent, or in breach of these Terms and Conditions will be disqualified.
c. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for technical issues, network failures, or other events outside its control that may prevent participation or affect the competition’s operation.

7.       Privacy
a. By entering, participants agree that their personal data will be used by the Promoter solely for administering this competition and in accordance with the Promoter’s privacy policy.
b. Winners may be required to provide additional personal information to facilitate prize delivery.

8.       Publicity
a. By entering the competition, participants agree that the Promoter may announce their name and/or social media handle as the winner on its social media channels.
b. Winners may also be asked (but are not obliged) to participate in reasonable publicity relating to the competition.

9.       Amendments and Cancellation
The Promoter reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions or cancel the competition at any time without prior notice if circumstances beyond its reasonable control make this unavoidable.

10.   Governing Law
This competition and its Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
